Widely acknowledged for its strengths in Health, Griffith's Gold Coast Campus boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including the Science, Environment, Engineering and Technology (SEET) Research Centre and A$36 million Griffith Centre for Medicine and Oral Health adjacent to the Gold Coast Hospital at Southport. An all new A$1.76 billion 750-bed university hospital and a $136 million health centre are also under construction at the Gold Coast campus in the Parklands precinct, and are due to open in 2012.
Griffith University’s Gold Coast Campus spans several sites, including the Australia Fair Shopping Centre site. On the main campus, students can relax at a campus café or restaurant, and enjoy extensive sporting facilities, including an Olympic-standard athletics track, a gym and basketball and tennis courts.
QIBT students have the luxury of access to the services and facilities provided by Griffith including Griffith libraries, 24-hour computer laboratories, banking, post, medical services, welfare services and an underground train station.
On-campus accommodation is also available and assistance can be provided by QIBT with finding needed off-campus accommodation, including home stay.
QIBT offers a wide range of programs including a university foundation program, seven Diploma programs and a postgraduate program. Nine QIBT programs will be offered on the Gold Coast Campus, including three new Diploma programs to be announced in late 2011.
