Cover Your Artz™ marks the launch of a new game changing website for touring artists and events across Australia. Providing a social network for the music industry, it’s like a dating site for musicians and managers to meet their perfect industry professional.
Delivering a service that works with record labels, tour managers, venue owners, artists and all those involved in event management, Cover Your Artz™ offers the missing link to help make every show a technical success, wherever you are in Australia.
Whilst taking care of the arduous paperwork for you, creating everything from automated booking sheets to invoices, Cover Your Artz™ provides a one-stop-shop for all your tour logistics.
Connecting you with qualified competent technical staff, from lighting designers, to sound engineers, merch sellers and doormen, the Cover Your Artz™ database includes everyone you need to put on a successful event, anywhere in Australia. Whether it is for an emergency replacement, for a one off event, for a national tour, or for building long term relationships, Cover Your Artz™ has you covered.
Born from a team with many years tour-managing experience, Cover Your Artz™ is the brainchild of Director Penny Weber, developed from a frustration and lack of resource within the Australian arts and music community. Despite the fact that every day of every year, artists get up on stages all around the country to perform their arts to audiences of all sizes, the Australia arts and music industry has never before provided an up-to-date resource where you can research the right production staff in specific areas with real time access to their availability, fees and skills.
Penny Weber explains,“We’re so happy to finally mark the official launch of Cover Your Artz™. In what has been a project in the making for many years now, we’ve spent meticulous hours road testing the sites functionality to ensure reliability and ease of use. We’ve ironed out all the creases, pulled out all the stops, added new services, and after much anticipation Cover Your Artz™ is now active.”
Check out the site for yourself at coveryourartz.com. It’s FREE to become a member and if you sign up before the end of September with the promotional code: cyagift, you’ll also receive three months of free services, giving you the opportunity to road test the site for yourself.
To help celebrate their official launch, Cover Your Artz™ will be running a number of seminars, kicking things off in Melbourne this October with ‘On the Road Again’.
The October ‘On the Road Again’ seminar helps you get all the pieces together for a tour worth doing. Whether you are a musician, performer, manager, crew or just ‘with the band’ this one day seminar will help drive you past the potholes of touring, making it there and back in one piece (and hopefully with all band members).
Work-shopping the best times to tour, how to make touring boost your career, booking tour logistics, the best way to market and promote the tour without destroying the bank balance along with some some good tour yarns in there too.
Joining the journey is Icehouse guitarist Paul Gildea of Paul Gildea Artist Management (Stonefield, Michael Paynter), John Sinclair of Fleming Artists (Ani DiFranco, Colin Hay, Paul Dempsey), Karen Conrad of KC Publicity (Ross Wilson, Mental As Anything, Gary Numan) and Tommy Spender (Spender, Offcuts), with more to be announced.
Dates below, or go onto the Cover Your Artz™ website to register your interest.
“I think Cover Your Artz is a great idea. Before I worked for artist like Muse, Ben Harper & Lily Allen I was managing / tour managing local indie artists & I had no idea what I was doing. Consequently I made a lot of mistakes & it wasn't until I started working for professional promoters & artists that I had a network to teach me how to do things properly & connect me with the right people. I wish CYA was around back at the start so I didn't F[.]#k things up so much.”
