Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada, 2011/09/05 - Twenty two year old hockey goalie, Kurtis Mucha, launched MVPVault a social networking site aimed at helping players promote their hockey career by being more easily noticed by scouts and coaches - MVPvault.com.

MVPVault currently focuses mostly on hockey as its main sport but plans to expand to all the major sports in the near future. The site welcomes players, parents, fans, coaches and scouts to all sign up and create personal profiles. The layout of the site is very similar to Facebook, which will be a smooth transition to those familiar with social networking.
Membership to the site is completely free and, once registered, players can promote their hockey career on one website by uploading pictures, videos and stats. The coaches and scouts will have access to the best young stars and be able to compare them on one side and reach out and message current or future players. The site even allows coaches and scouts to be completely invisible as they scour the site looking for hidden talent while taking notes about them and rating them. While this website has a very serious scouting and recruiting side to it, it also contains a very fun and social side to it as well. Players can take quizzes on the NHL, follow NHL players on Twitter and use our own type of “Pokes”, on my site instead of poking someone you can “slash, body check, cross check, chirp, beak, high five, or spear” a user.
