Bay City, MI, United States, 2011/08/01 - Hospice Advantage, Inc. announced the second in a series of acquisitions in Mississippi. The slated expansion began early last month and continued today with the addition of locations in Southaven and Tupelo - HospiceAdvantage.com.

Hospice Advantage, Inc. today announced its second in a series of acquisitions that have expanded the provider’s service area to include nearly the entire state of Mississippi. The addition includes the Southaven and Tupelo offices of St. Jude Hospice, LLC. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Bay City, Michigan, Hospice Advantage is one of the nation’s largest privately held hospice agencies. Founded in 2004, the company has grown to include 40 locations, serving the states of Alabama, Georgia, Kansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, and Wisconsin.

In a first round of acquisitions announced early last month, Hospice Advantage purchased 6 Mississippi locations in Madden, Magee, Jackson, Vicksburg, and Hattiesburg. With a census of approximately 6,800 patients per year, the acquisitions will increase the patients under Hospice Advantage’s care by over 10 percent.
