Three application engineers from Advanced Solutions, Inc., a leading full-service Gold Partner value-added reseller for Autodesk, Inc., have been invited to present at Autodesk University, the nation's largest training conference for software design professionals in the manufacturing, architecture, engineering and construction industries, Nov. 29 – Dec. 1, 2011 in Las Vegas.
“Autodesk University is a great opportunity to teach Autodesk’s leading design technology to Autodesk software users from around the world in a wide range of fields and industries. Adrianna Schneider, Heather Nagel and Tim Sealschott will be presenting unique course content, adding tremendous value to the AU training experience,” states Scott Wolslager, Senior Manager Professional Services at Advanced Solutions.
Adrianna Schneider, LEED A.P., Application Engineer, Building Solutions
Class Title: Got Green?: Using Autodesk Products to Reduce Energy Consumption
This class will explain how to use Autodesk products to efficiently and effectively create more sustainable building designs. Use Project Vasari to create different conceptual mass shapes and perform very early energy analysis to determine the most efficient profile. Incorporate the masses into the Revit platforms to create simple energy models and utilize the central location to manipulate the information for further analysis. Use Green Building Studio to determine and reduce energy costs and consumption based on rotation, materials and system definitions. Use Ecotect to visualize shadows, the effect of sun paths, solar radiation, and daylighting analysis, in addition to determining the need for shading devices.
Adrianna earned an Architectural Engineering degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering with specialties in Environmental and Structural Design.
A dedicated technical expert with over 10 years of implementing, supporting and training Autodesk products in the AEC industry, Adrianna has career expertise in structural, mechanical, electrical & plumbing design and supports the AEC industry in Sustainable Building Integration and Analysis.
Heather Nagel, Application Engineer, Civil Solutions
Class Title: 3-in-1 Stream Restoration Using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Map 3D, and Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis
This class will explain how Civil 3D and the new Storm and Sanitary application help with the design and evaluation of natural channels and storm water management facilities. Students will learn how to import and integrate GIS data into Map 3D, create custom assemblies in Civil 3D for natural channel design, and develop existing and post-development hydrology in Storm and Sanitary Analysis.
Heather earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee and is now based out of Louisville, KY. With over 4 years of implementing, supporting and training Autodesk products in the AEC industry, Heather has career expertise in road, water, and sewer design.
Tim Sealschott, Application Engineer, Manufacturing Solutions
Class Title: Loading it up with Autoloader
This class will cover the techniques using Autoloader to load legacy data into Vault. Topics that will be covered include techniques for migrating data using programs such as "DWG Convert" and "Inventor Task Scheduler", data organization and folder structure strategies before uploading, tips for resolving issues during the scan process, advanced troubleshooting for issues after scanning, and recommendations for setting up a job processor for creating visualization files during the upload process.
Tim Graduated in 1990 from Cincinnati State with a Mechanical Engineering Technology Degree and is now based out of Cincinnati, Ohio. He has over 13 years of experience as an Application Engineer and over 26 years of manufacturing engineering experience. Tim has previously spoken at AUGI Cad Camps.
