Hospice Advantage, Inc. today announced its acquisition of 3 hospices in Mississippi including offices of Hospice in His Hands LLC (3 locations in Madden and Magee), Providence Hospice LLC (2 locations in Jackson and Vicksburg), and Providence Hospice South LLC (1 location in Hattiesburg). Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Bay City, Michigan, Hospice Advantage (hospiceadvantage.com) is one of the nation’s largest privately held hospice agencies. Founded in 2004, the company has grown to include 40 locations, serving the states of Alabama, Georgia, Kansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, and Wisconsin. With a census of approximately 6,800 patients per year, the addition of 5 locations and 1 inpatient unit will increase the number of hospice patients currently under Advantage’s care by 10 percent and extend their service area to include nearly the entire state of Mississippi.

The allocation will also mark the addition of a second hospice home for the company which currently operates Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama. Hildebrant affirmed the company’s commitment to expand their offerings to include additional hospice homes saying,“Using Bethany House as a model, we are committing resources to build and develop additional hospice homes to care for those whose symptoms or pain cannot be managed at home. We are also working with local hospitals to develop on-site Bethany House units to meet the needs of both patients and physicians.”
Hildebrant went on to say,“We know that as hospice providers we offer a special service in our communities.
