Erba Cycles auctioned one of its bikes at The Jericho Road Project's Annual Dinner & Auction on May 14, 2011 to support the non-profit organization as it helps underserved communities in Massachusetts and California. The winning bidder at the auction will choose either the Erba Drift Wood model, a bike geared toward comfort in a heads-up riding position or The Erban, which also offers comfort in an upright posture along with an added element of speed. As with all Erba customers, the winning bidder will be able to design many aspects of the bike including “pants-friendly belt drives,” drivetrains, color, saddle, handlebars and more.
Dan Holin, Executive Director of the Jericho Road Project, said that,“During fundraising, every charitable organization is looking for that unique, quality and appropriately priced product to auction off. Erba bikes are exactly that kind of product with the added moral dimension of recyclability. It has been a pleasure collaborating with Erba and I recommend the experience and product to others.”
According to Erba founder, Randall Levere,“Helping The Jericho Road Project is an easy choice given the impact the organization has in needy communities here in Massachusetts.” Noting that,“While Erba Cycles is a young company,” Mr. Levere went on to say that,“we’re not going to postpone our community-involvement – we want to make a difference now.”
