BrightCom, performance leader in integrated telepresence and video conferencing solutions announced today that CEO, Bob McCandless, will be speaking at the Telepresence Conference during the 2011 NAB Show on April 13th in the Las Vegas Convention Center. Mr. McCandless' session, entitled, “Using the Evolution of Voice as a Model for the Future of Telepresence and Video Conferencing” will explore how the evolution of voice communication, from its roots in PBX to the VOIP and cloud based computing applications can be utilized as a model for the future of telepresence and video conferencing technology.
Mr. McCandless states, “Today, Skype, Google Talk and iChat are a few of the applications that have taken VOIP and cloud computing applications to the masses. With over 500 million users talking over VOIP on Skype, phones and landlines are becoming obsolete.
