Anya Verkhovskaya, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of A.B. Data, Ltd., announced today the addition of Linda Smith, Financial Analyst, to the Class Action Administration Division. Ms. Smith will be responsible for consulting with clients on highly complex plans of allocation, performing financial analysis, approving reconciliations and pro rata calculations, auditing claims and reports, and guaranteeing observance of internal procedures and processes with the utmost commitment to quality and precision.

Linda comes to A.B. Data with over a decade of experience as a broker-dealer auditor, trainer, and manager. In addition, Ms. Smith is a CPA and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. Prior to joining A.B. Data, Ms. Smith conducted audits for Northwestern Mutual, where she was a subject matter expert for broker-dealer audits and also performed anti-money-laundering audits for company affiliates.

From 1994 to 2007, Ms. Smith was in charge of performing financial and compliance audits for broker-dealers and futures commission merchants at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT). In her role at the CBOT, Ms. Smith secured compliance with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and CBOT regulations for all assigned Chicago and New York firms.
Ms. Smith obtained her BBA in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 1992 and passed the CPA exam in 1999.
