The launch has set a benchmark for any other construction lab that will follow suit in India. With this, the Construction ERP lab will soon be launched at NICMAR’s Hyderabad and Goa campus shortly.
Last year, Aurigo had announced that it was providing software support to NICMAR in collaboration with Microsoft. Together, they have provided NICMAR with free licenses of Aurigo’s CPMS, its revolutionary web-based construction management and inspection software, and free licenses of Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP software under their respective academic alliance programs to establish the Construction ERP Lab.
The Construction ERP Lab will bolster NICMAR’s curriculum offering. The construction ERP software has been included in the curriculum for the Project Engineering & Management Course, Advanced Construction Management Course, Real Estate Urban Infrastructure Management and Project Accounting.
The objective of Aurigo’s and Microsoft’s generous software grant is to provide construction management students of NICMAR access to the same best- in-class, powerful construction ready ERP solution that is deployed in many global projects across the world.
Speaking at the inauguration, Dr Mangesh G Korgaonker, Director General of NICMAR said, “Aurigo’s CPMS & Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP have been incorporated into the curriculum with the launch of the lab and the first batch of students will be briefed on the comprehensive construction ERP solution. The initiative will help us contribute highly competent professionals into the market. Through this alliance we will bridge the gap between industry requirement and academia. As we anxiously await the results from our first batch of students, we realize that they will be better prepared for a global infrastructure market.”
