ACCA recently awarded PowerSeraya Limited top winner of the Singapore Awards for Sustainability Reporting (SASR). This is PowerSeraya’s 2nd consecutive win.
Now into its 9th year, the SASR is an annual award to recognise Singapore companies for their excellence in environmental, social and sustainability reporting. The aim of the award is to identify and reward innovative sustainability reporters, and to encourage the uptake of sustainability reporting.
PowerSeraya has demonstrated transparency, completeness and credibility in the quality of information disclosed during the reporting process. Compared to last year, the company has made conscious efforts to add greater depth to the report by encompassing 6 indicator categories (Economic, Environmental, Society, Labour, Human Rights & Product Responsibility) and relating it to their company strategy, local policies and initiatives. Power Seraya’s Environmental and Sustainability Report 2010 is available online.

The SASR award ceremony was held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Singapore and was attended by close to 100 business leaders.
The SASR scheme is endorsed by the National Environment Agency (NEA) and supported by Singapore Compact for CSR, KPMG LLP and TüV SüD PSB.
