A prominent North American development organisation that provides financing, consulting services and venture capital has selected 3i Infotech - Framework, the leading UK provider of software solutions to the global private equity community, to manage its venture capital investment portfolio.
The deal provides the Canadian organisation - which focuses on providing support for small and medium sized enterprises - with a comprehensive overview of its entire investment fund.
The front, middle and back office teams can now be provided with a single, integrated source of up-to-date information and data. This enhances portfolio monitoring and risk reporting, streamlines the decision making process and provides users with a one-stop shop for all future venture capital data requirements.
As part of the agreement, Framework will enable the organisation to:
• Capture all new investment requests and track the investment authorisation process;
• Enter qualitative and quantitative information on existing data to improve the management of the investment portfolio;
• Perform a regular scheduled valuation across all investments, using the valuations module;
• Process all financial transactions and import and export specific data sets;
• Quickly produce up-to-date statistical reports to satisfy shareholder requests for information.
