East is meeting west with the alignment of Salisbury, MD based architect and BIG BIM little bim author Finith Jernigan, with Pasadena, CA based Onuma Inc to combine their expertise in the increasingly competitive building information modeling (BIM) and integrated decision making markets. The alignment gives Onuma additional resources to better serve their federal government clients such as the General Services Administration and the US Coast Guard.
Kimon Onuma, FAIA, an industry thought leader bridging the gap between traditional design practice and next generation services and Finith Jernigan, AIA, an expert in integrated design and construction practices, have worked together for many years. This alignment formalizes their relationship and will operate under the Onuma brand.
Finith Jernigan created his firm, Design Atlantic Ltd (designatlantic.com) to manage the information of construction and facilities by using parametric design tools to plan and deliver functional, efficient and sustainable projects. Over the last decade he has created an approach that is streamlined to make best use of strategic alliances, interoperable software systems and long-term management of information to help clients better manage facilities. Mr. Jernigan, brings this level of support to the Onuma team.
