CODA Group, the finance software specialist, today announced that property maintenance services organisation, Inspace plc, has signed an agreement to implement its Dream accounting software.
CODA was chosen over competitor Sun Accounts because of its reputation and the functionality available in the Dream software met Inspace's requirements more closely. Dream also offers support for the new Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), the tax system for the construction industry relating to sub-contractors, which constitutes a large portion of Inspace's working capital ledger requirements.
Richard Baxter, Head of IT at Inspace said: “We operate in a complex regulatory environment and required a system that could help us with the necessary processes. We were also looking for a flexible, Windows based accounting system that could integrate with our industry specific service management applications to provide us with real-time performance information for the whole business.”
Inspace has purchased licenses for up to 59 users that will have access to Dream and add-on products DreamView and DreamTalk for reporting. Procurement will also be made possible using Dream's web-service enabled solution. In addition, the contract includes some custom software development.
“To allow us to automate a certain process required for the extraction and allocation of working capital transactions across relevant divisions, CODA agreed to take on some custom development work,” continued Mr Baxter. “Once this is in place, we expect to see significant savings in the time we spend on this activity. As Dream will replace an old mainframe system, many of the previously manual processes will be automated and so we expect to see a Return on Investment within the first year.”
