Leapfrog Group CEO Leah Binder will be the keynote speaker at the Annual User Group Conferences of Quantros, a leading healthcare software and services provider of data management, decision support analytics, and clinical business intelligence solutions.
In April, the Leapfrog Group selected Quantros to service and administer the online Leapfrog Hospital Survey. The Survey annually collects safety, quality, and efficiency data from over 1,200 hospitals across the country and then publicly reports results online.
Binder serves on the National Quality Forum’s Serious Reportable Events Steering Committee, the National Priorities Partnership Board, the Critical Care Roundtable, and the Advisory Board of the Institute for Interactive Patient Care. In 2009, Binder was 28th on Modern Healthcare magazine’s list of the 100 Most Powerful People in Healthcare.
Before joining Leapfrog, Binder worked as a vice president at a rural hospital network. She also was a senior policy advisor for the Office of New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani. Binder has a BA from Brandeis University and two masters’ degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.
“We’re honored to have someone of Leah’s caliber serve as keynote speaker,” said Sanjaya Kumar, MD, President and CEO of Quantros.
This year, Quantros will hold four regional user conferences at these locations:
• New Orleans, September 13-14
• Reston, VA, September 15-16
• Chicago, October 5-6
• San Diego, October 19-20

About The Leapfrog Group
The Leapfrog Group uses the collective leverage of large purchasers of health care to initiate breakthrough improvements in the safety, quality, and affordability of health care for Americans. The Leapfrog Group was founded in November 2000 by the Business Roundtable and is now independently operated with support from its members.
The Leapfrog Hospital Survey is the gold standard for comparing hospitals’ performance on the national standards of safety, quality, and efficiency that are most relevant to consumers and purchasers of care. Hospitals that participate in The Leapfrog Hospital Survey achieve hospital-wide improvements that translate into millions of lives and dollars saved. Leapfrog’s purchaser members use survey results to inform their employees and purchasing strategies.
