API Technologies Corp. ("API" or the "Company"), a provider of highly engineered products and services to the global defense sector, announced today the availability of the smallest hermetically sealed ceramic Dual 1553 Data Bus Transceiver. The NHi-1565 SOIC, which is also available in MacAir, is the newest addition to the National Hybrid (NHi) product line.
“These are the smallest, fully-compliant 1553 data bus transceivers in a ceramic SOIC package on the market today,” said Arnie Markowitz, Vice President and General Manager of API’s Components and Subsystems division. “Because they are hermetically sealed, they are air-tight, making them ideally suited for rugged environments.”
The NHi-1565 SOIC comes in a standard 5 V or a low voltage 3.3 V version. It measures 0.275 x 0.504 x 0.095 inches, and is available in a full military temperature range of -55°C to +125°C.
API also announced today that the previously released 7 mm dual transceiver in a plastic package from NHi is also now available to meet MacAir specifications. The 7 mm has a significantly smaller footprint than a standard 20-pin package. For ordering information, please call 631-981-2400.
