Alphalogix, provider of Tasica Collaborative Workflow Solutions, announced today that CEO Bob McCandless will be joining an expert panel of IBM executives and business partners in the opening keynote session of the Portal Excellence Conference 2010 in Chicago, Illinois on July 19th. The opening session keynote entitled “The Next Generation Web Experience” will feature Larry Bowden,Vice President Portals and Web Experience Software. Mr. McCandless will add his thoughts on IBM’s focus on delivering exceptional web experiences on panel discussion following Mr. Bowden’s opening remarks, sharing how Alphalogix is continuing to enhance web experiences through enterprise communication with its Tasica Collaborative Workflow Solutions integrated with IBM software.

Recently, an article in the Wall Street Journal, reported IBM’s new attention to software as opposed to hardware as they “race to stay ahead of the technology industry’s faster-changing profit curve.”
According to Chief Executive Samuel Palmisano, IBM “wants to sell programs that help clients sort through the mountains of data being generated by the growing number of transactions and record keeping that have moved to electronic forms. Those programs, called analytics, help retailers dig through real-time sales figures to spot unexpected trends or government plow through piles of records to more quickly catch welfare fraud or find fire risks.”
