Licious Living, known for offering a delicious, healthier alternative to fast food options in Vancouver is thrilled to be one of 17 new vendors who received permits in the city to operate a street vendor cart. This is a new initiative by the City of Vancouver to bring more healthy food options to the streets.
“There has been a real void of nutritious street options available to people in Vancouver and we are pleased that the city has taken this action,” says Katie Rodgers, co-owner of Licious Living. “Eating healthy on the run can be a challenge. It has always been a goal of ours to make it easier and enjoyable for people to eat a better balanced diet. Having nutritious, ready-to-eat meals available on the street in downtown commuter routes is a big step to making this happen and we are excited to help achieve this with Mobilicious”.
Mobilicious will serve the popular Licious Signature Smoothies, hearty sandwiches, and wraps, which are currently available at the Licious cafes, as well as entrée salads such as Edamame & Sauteed Shrimp Salad and ready-to-heat dishes like Texas Style Turkey Chili or Homestyle Lasagna to eat or take home. Great tasting food favourites prepared in a healthy way.
Licious Living (liciousliving.com) was started in 2002 by entrepreneur Deanna Embury, focusing solely on Healthy Living and Zone diet delivery meal services for busy individuals who did not have time to cook, or were addressing weight and health issues. When orders started pouring in for the service in Vancouver, Katie Rodgers joined her friend and they launched the service in Toronto as well.
Meal programs allow clients to tailor a meal plan that helps them achieve their personal goals whether they are to improve health or address weight concerns. The company has grown, now offering corporate meal services to conscientious companies who care about the health and well being of their clients and employees.
Fans include R& B singer Jully Black, Celebrity gossip Lainey Lui, and CTV Weathercaster Tamara Taggart. “With the schedule I was maintaining during the Olympics, I didn’t want to worry about health, and food, and, frankly, putting on weight. I’m supposed to wear a gown next Sunday for the Oscars. I couldn’t afford to … show up in LA bloated and haggy. Going forward we will continue to be paying clients of Licious Living”, writes Lainey Lui on laineygossip.com about her Licious Living experience during the Olympics.
“For me, I simply needed one less thing to think about while balancing a recording, touring, television and fitness career to name a few. I'd highly recommend this service to one and all. It's an opportunity to do something "for you, with you." Remember, food is fuel and Licious Living will give you premium results," says Jully Black.
Licious Living takes the hard work out of healthy eating by delivering fresh, nutritious, balanced meals to homes and offices daily in Toronto and Vancouver. For pick up, visit the Vancouver cafes located in Bentall 4 (411-1055 Dunsmuir and at The Robert Lee YMCA (955 Burrard St)
