Based on their recent agreement, BackwoodsInventions.com is now actively marketing and selling Secret Weapon Lures' products. According to Ky Harrod, director of public relations for BackwoodsInventions.com, "A distinguishing characteristic of our website is that our products are developed by hunters, fishermen and other outdoor enthusiasts. That’s certainly the case with Secret Weapon Lures, so a strategic partnership between our two companies makes sense."
Secret Weapon Lures was co-founded by the late Bob Rickard, an avid fisherman from Missouri. Rickard, also an aeronautics engineer, designed in-line spinners to replace the swivel-mounted blades on spinnerbaits and patented the first Secret Weapon spinnerbait with no-tool, quick-change, universal spinner blade attachments that feature a quick clip in the front and a loop in the back. These design improvements cause spinnerbaits to run deeper during fast retrievals and enable fishermen to quickly and easily swap blades, clip on multiple in-line blades in series, and even add a treble hook to catch fish that strike the blades.
Today, Secret Weapon Lures' US-made Buzzrbaits (hybrid spinnerbaits/buzzbaits), Sidearm and Quickstrike Spinnerbaits all feature these in-line blades. In addition, Secret Weapon offers high-performance swivel-mounted Pro Assassinator spinnerbaits and compact spinnerbaits as well as Pro Assassinator buzzbaits.
BackwoodsInventions.com will also market and sell Secret Weapon Lures’ Recoil Rig. Invented by tackle designer, Rodney Long, the Recoil Rig is a truly unique and simple technology that enables fishermen to mimic life-like movements with plastic worms and minnows. The key to this product is a SpectraR-wrapped elastic cord that connects between the weight and the lure. Every twitch, vibration, and jiggle of the rod tip makes any soft plastic lure shake, shimmy, and swim as though it were alive without moving it out of the strike zone.
