Tohnichi introduced new limit switch versions of its popular RTD and RNTD Torque Screwdriver series. The “LS” or limit switch adds a micro switch and cable to the torque screwdrivers. This additional feature creates the ability to track the number of clicks that the torque screwdriver generates as it reaches the target torque setting. The RTDLS and RNTDLS are ideal for applications where missed screw tightening can lead to loss of product quality.
When the limit switch cable is connected to a PLC or to Tohnichi’s CNA-4mk2 Count Checker the clicks generated by the torque screwdrivers can be tracked, creating a verification system that will signal the user with lights and buzzers to possible missed tightening. RTDLS features easily adjustable torque setting with external scale and lock ring, while RNTDLS is preset to one torque setting to prevent any possible tampering with the torque set value. RNTDLS and RTDLS both feature a pivoting hanger clip and swiveling cable connection which keeps the cable free from tangling during the tightening process.
Female connector is sold as an accessory to easily connect to a PLC.
