EADS Secure Networks and Groupe Lagasse Europe S.A.S. announce that they have renewed, for a further four-year period, the agreement that they initially entered into in 2005, when Groupe Lagasse acquired EADS' production facilities in France and, subsequently, in Germany.
The renewal of this agreement demonstrates EADS DS' confidence in Groupe Lagasse. Mr Dirk Borchardt, CEO of EADS Security & Communications Solutions, said: "the quality of services offered by Lagasse together with its constant responsiveness to the integration and adaptation requirements of new products released continuously on EADS' target markets, were decisive factors in extending the relationship between our two companies."
Under this agreement, EADS will also benefit from Groupe Lagasse's ODM (Original Design Manufacture) and NPI (New Product Introduction) capabilities, as well as continue to use Lagasse's integration services for its high-technology secure communication systems, designed for the defence industry and other markets.
Mr Louis Lagasse Chairman of Groupe Lagasse praised the efforts of all his teams, working under the banner of Lagasse Communications & Industries in both France and Germany, who "were able to respond immediately and effectively to EADS' day-to-day requirements as well as to its specific requests."
Mr Lagasse has every reason to be enthusiastic about the next four years. EADS and Groupe Lagasse also intend to strengthen their ties in Canada and Pierre Delestrade, Chairman of EADS Canada, welcomed this opportunity to extend the relationship between Groupe Lagasse and EADS, which he believes will: "sustain and reinforce EADS' foothold in Canada by building on its existing investments in this country, notably Plant-CML in Gatineau, Quebec." As a result of this extended association between these two major companies, Groupe Lagasse will gain access to the global markets opened up by EADS and can create new jobs in Canada, particularly in Quebec where Groupe Lagasse is an important employer.
Since April 2005, the commercial agreements resulting from the business ties between Groupe Lagasse and EADS have generated over 600 million Canadian dollars in revenues, i.e. an average of around 120 million Canadian dollars a year.
