Law Passed on March 18, 2010 Provides 6.2% Payroll Tax Incentive for Employers Hiring Workers Previously Unemployed or Working Part-Time

“Being first to market was no easy task. We had to substantially modify 12 print programs and the core of the payroll calculation, in order to make the entire process automatic for our clients in our payroll software,” said Ken Garen, CPA, President and Co-Founder of UBCC.
UBCC payroll software clients simply select “YES” to the “HIRE CREDIT” option on their employee maintenance screen, indicating the employee is eligible for the credit; the previously earned credit will be included in the first check the employee receives, and the credit will be in all subsequent checks for 2010. “We are giving our clients a strategic advantage by this rapid response and timely implementation of tax law changes,” continued Garen.
