Rapid Recovery, the largest refrigerant recovery company servicing the continental United States, announces a new service location in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Rapid Recovery is opening its 14th service location in the United Sates and first in Indiana. This is also the first of several locations expected to open in 2010. The company’s unique business model will give Indianapolis HVACR and Demolition companies a new alternative for dealing with refrigerant. “Contractors will now have an opportunity to utilize a true service company for their refrigerant recovery needs,” said Les Rhynard of Rapid Recovery. The service model touted by Rapid Recovery is centered around knowledgeable, professional and uniformed personnel capable of safely and responsibly recovering refrigerant from systems and cylinders located at jobsites and/or contractors’ shops. Going one step further, Rapid Recovery documents every recovery and provides this information to its customers upon request and/or at the end of each year. This documentation portfolio contains all the information required for compliance with the EPA’s Stratospheric Protection Division. “Customers that utilize our services on each job can simply take the documentation portfolio we provide, file it at the end of the year and have all their recovered refrigerant accounted for,” said Rhynard. This is in stark contrast to contractors that may be utilizing several different sources for cylinder recovery. These contractors would need to accumulate documentation from each source and compile that information using their own staff. Many companies offering to take recovered refrigerant do not track the amount they receive leaving their contractors open to liability should a refrigerant audit be performed by the EPA.
Rapid Recovery opened 6 locations in 2009 and is expecting to match that in 2010. In this time of economic uncertainty it seems remarkable to be opening territories at this pace. Certainly the Rapid Recovery model of franchising has a lot to do with the growth. According to Rhynard, “People are looking for opportunities to secure their own future. They find that opportunity with Rapid Recovery. Contractors are seeking credible sources to aid them in their environmental responsibilities. They find with Rapid Recovery, both parties win, and that’s why our success continues.”
Rick Adams, owner of the Indianapolis territory, was born and raised in Central Indiana and currently resides in Hamilton County. He attended Ball State University and spent the past 22+ years in various sales and sales management positions. “I spent more than a year considering my options for business ownership, and only Rapid Recovery offered everything I was looking for … an environmentally-friendly company with a solid business model and the ability to offer tremendous value to customers,” said Rick. He went on to say, “Our ability to offer fast, onsite, fully-EPA documented refrigerant recovery will significantly and positively impact contractors’ ability to satisfy “their” customers.” As Rick researched the industry he realized that the only refrigerant recovery company offering this type of value was Rapid Recovery.
Rapid Recovery (raprec.com) offers refrigerant recovery and abatement nationwide through its franchise network. Its customer base includes refrigeration and air conditioning contractors, refrigeration wholesale distributors, demolition contractors, DOD, landfill administrators and in-house service departments. The company provides on-site refrigerant recovery solutions, including job-site refrigerant recovery, recovery cylinder service and refrigerant disposal and documentation services.
