Marketingunity, the marketing and procurement software specialist, has added two new editions to its suite of marketing and procurement software.
Marketingunity ‘Express' and ‘Professional’ are both SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions, which means that users don’t need to buy, install or maintain their own hardware and software.
However, the new marketingunity editions offer benefits that other SaaS solutions don’t, according to Chris Hopwood, marketingunity MD, who observes:
“Most SaaS solutions have been designed and developed specifically for the SaaS market, i.e. to meet fixed price and functionality points. In marked contrast, our Express and Professional Editions have been created by applying a ‘top-down’ approach to our full suite. This creates two key benefits:
“Firstly, the features in our SaaS editions use exactly the same code that is used by our corporate suite, so offer the same sophistication and robustness that is proven in more than 1000 organisations.
“Secondly, it provides a seamless upgrade path. If it suits their needs, customers can begin with a single user of one module, and upgrade to an enterprise-wide rollout of the entire suite, without ever re-keying data or re-installing the software.”
Hopwood claims that this approach has made enterprise-quality software available at SaaS prices, putting the associated benefits within the reach of small and medium-sized businesses for the first time.
The six modules offered include:
• Catalogue Manager – A 24x7 online shop, which allows staff and sales channels to maintain consistent supplies of any type of collateral, customised to their needs, within corporate controls and brand guidelines.
• Procurement Manager – An online E-procurement module that ensures cost-effective, minimal-administration procurement of bespoke products.
• Digital Asset Manager – Efficient storage and retrieval of any type of digital assets, supporting brand control.
• Approval Manager – Streamlines and controls approvals across worldwide teams and approval workflows.
• Campaign Manager – Web-based coordination and control of any number of campaigns and their associated materials and resources.
• Project Manager – Web-based management of any type of project, including proactive reminders and progress monitoring.
The two new marketingunity editions complete a line-up of four editions:
Express – Designed for ‘personal use’ in small and medium-sized companies.
Professional – For teams of up to three collaborative users in small and medium-sized companies.
Enterprise - For larger corporate and not-for-profit organisations, with more complex functional and reporting requirements, across multiple teams, locations, campaigns, branches or products. This edition can also be installed onsite as required.
Global - All the features of Enterprise, plus multi-language and multi-currency features for global organisations.
The new range is based on intensive research into how customers want to buy software. The research also established the needs and preferences of visitors to software vendors’ websites. The result was a completely redesigned website that reflects the research and the new product range. The site allows customers to quickly identify if their reason for visiting is met, and allows them to satisfy their interest with online requests for relevant information, white papers, and product demonstrations.
About marketingunity
Marketingunity (marketingunity.com) is a privately-owned marketing software company based in Newbury, Berkshire. Marketingunity was founded in 1996 based on the conviction that the most powerful characteristic of the Internet would prove to be not websites, but web-based business applications.
The company specialises in marketing and procurement, and since its launch in 2000, the marketingunity suite has undergone continuous development, driven exclusively by customer and market feedback. This has resulted in today’s integrated software suite, which supports both marketing and procurement teams. It is accessed via any standard web browser to allow all team members, and their supply chain partners, to communicate, collaborate and contribute.
