These enhancements include greater export versatility and functionality, greater flexibility in calculating vacation and sick accrual accumulation controls, access to up-to-date annual W2 and 1099 counts, and the ability within the General Ledger software to automatically generate one, two, or three digit locations or product lines.
UBCC has enhanced the integration capabilities of their automatically generated PDF and CSV files by adding the ability to bulk transfer the UBCC created PDF and CSV files to other vendors file structures. Clients can automatically create files using UBCC eReports and PDF creator, and have them sent to another software vendors file structure even on another drive letter and or folder name. This allows the operator to go to one location to view all PDF files no matter what software created the file, presenting a single unified paperless file cabinet system.
UBCC has enhanced the vacation and sick accrual capability in their payroll software to optionally allow accruals on the vacation and sick pay itself, towards meeting the client’s accrual goals. UBCC payroll clients can now automatically calculate the number of W2 and 1099 paper forms needed based on actual counts for each type of 1099 activity. This enhancement successfully eliminates form shortage emergency situations, by providing the preparer with precise data to know exactly how many W2’s and each type of 1099 forms are needed. “Maintenance on a high turn over client is greater. This enhancement will help payroll and accounting professionals to more appropriately adjust their services pricing schedule and determine the exact amount of preprinted forms to order,” said Ken Garen, Co-Founder and President, Universal Business Computing Company.
UBCC has also enhanced their General Ledger software to allow clients to automatically generate all the General Ledger accounts necessary in a few seconds for each new department, location, or line of business. With this enhancement, clients can now enter one, two or three digit locations or product lines when formerly they were only allowed to enter two. The benefit of this enhancement is a huge time savings for the accountant. “Within a few seconds, clients can add all of the General Ledger accounts needed, compared to what would have taken anywhere from twenty minutes up to two hours before this enhancement,” continued Garen.
