The Town of Ruston sought out SAFEbuilt’s expertise in part because of the Point Ruston project. Point Ruston is a unique neighborhood combining living, dining, shopping, entertainment and recreation on 97 acres along the Puget Sound shoreline.
“The Town of Ruston chose SAFEbuilt to provide building department services because of their professional approach, their expertise and their commitment to public safety and customer service,” says Mayor Bruce Hopkins, Town of Ruston. “We are very impressed with their web enabled permitting system – it has been really beneficial.”
The City of Port Orchard has also contracted with SAFEbuilt for supplemental services.
SAFEbuilt (safebuilt.com) provides full-service building department services, building code plan reviews, complete project support and building code inspections for cities, towns, counties and state agencies.
Government agencies often look to contract all or part of the building department function because it allows a budgeted fixed cost (building department staff, benefits, inspection vehicles, etc) to become a variable cost relative to building activity. Access to specific project expertise is also a benefit.
SAFEbuilt Washington currently has two offices in Kent and the Tri-Cities and is continuing to grow in the region.
SAFEbuilt’s corporate office is in Loveland, Colorado, with operations throughout Colorado, Georgia, Washington, Florida, Louisiana, Arizona, Texas, the Carolinas and Michigan and has more than 70 employees.
