Flexotherm announced it was extending its line of electrically-heated products into stack testing and hot melt applications. Their proven expertise in emissions testing has enabled this natural transition into the growing field of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS).
Stack or source testing is an important tool in monitoring a facility’s compliance with EPA emission requirements in accordance with the Clean Air Act. Products include stack lines, sample probes, temperature controllers, filters and related equipment.
Flexotherm also recently unveiled a range of products for hot melt applications. Included are electrically heated hoses with built-in heating elements. These lines utilize a helical convoluted Teflon® core, and virtually indestructible outer hose of rubber or stainless steel braid with double thermal insulation.
The hot melt heated lines ensure constant temperatures and prevent changes in viscosity. Applications include hot-melt adhesives used in packaging, manufacturing, chemical and petroleum transfer, animal fats, food by-products, tars and asphalt, urethane coatings, as well as wastewater treatment.
All Flexotherm electrically heated products are backed by a two-year warranty. They also offer the unique ability to repair or recore any other manufacturer’s lines.
Flexotherm (flexotherm.net), a division of Neptech, is veteran-owned. They established a quality reputation by supplying heated lines used in emissions testing by OEM engine manufacturers and R&D facilities throughout the world. While the automotive sector has experienced some turbulence, they have successfully transitioned into other sectors, recently expanding capacity by adding a second assembly line at their new tech center in Highland, Michigan.
The company's overall strategy is to leverage American ingenuity and new product technologies to help firms achieve environmental goals, save energy, reduce operating costs, while strengthening the country’s manufacturing base. This approach capitalizes on key global advantages for U.S. (and Michigan) companies in terms of technological expertise and high value manufacturing capabilities. It also makes pure economic sense, with rising energy costs, to manufacture components locally to realize cost-efficiencies in transportation and logistics.
Viewed from any perspective, this approach is proving to be an effective formula for growth under even the most challenging market conditions.
