Proxicast, manufacturer of the LAN-Cell family of 3G cellular routers, announces the immediate release of version 4.65 of the Proxicast IPSec VPN Client Software for Windows which offers customers a simple to deploy and easy to use VPN solution for remote access over 3G cellular networks.
Version 4.65 retains all the features of previous versions, such as the easy setup VPN Wizard and the quick LAN-Cell pre-configuration option, but adds over 80 new features, enhancements and updates including support for Microsoft Windows 7. Version 4.65 is a free upgrade to existing Proxicast IPSec VPN customers who are currently under software maintenance. A 30-day free trial version is available on the Proxicast website.
The Proxicast IPSec VPN Client software is able to deliver a Windows-based VPN solution that is customized for Proxicast LAN-Cell family of cellular routers, yet fully compatible with VPN routers from over 60 other vendors.
New features in version 4.65 of the Proxicast IPSec VPN Client include:
• Over 80 new features, improvements and bug fixes;
• Windows 7 32 & 64-bit support;
• Support for Arabic, Hindi & Thai in addition to 16 other languages;
• Vista Credential Providers (aka GINA on W2K/WXP) support to enable Windows logon via VPN connection or the option to logon to the local machine;
• The ability to use certificates from the Windows Certificate Store which enables smooth integration with any PKI software supporting the Windows Certificate Store;
• Improved support for multiple VPN tunnels;
• New Two-Way Factor Token support.
The new and improved Proxicast VPN Client provides full IPSec and IKE support, strong network authentication, strong network encryption through DES, 3DES, AES and RSA, support for multiple connection types like DSL, Cable, cellular and Wi-Fi and multiple simultaneous tunnels. Other VPN Client features such as Dynamic DNS support eliminates need for static IP’s on either end of the VPN tunnel.
The Configuration Wizard in the VPN Client software complements VPN Wizard in LAN Cell 3G router’s firmware. Remote users can setup a VPN connection in under a minute with just a few parameters in each wizard. The Proxicast VPN Client for Windows is also interoperable with hundreds of other IPSec hardware and software solutions from other leading security vendors.
