Baltimore Innovations Ltd, the UK based desiccant specialist, is recruiting Simon Poulter to head up their new Foil Packaging Division. He joins Baltimore as they undergo a period of rapid expansion, which is in marked contrast to the contraction and headcount reductions seen in other parts of the industry this year.

On the playing field of foil packaging, Simon really is a star striker and we’re very happy to welcome him to the team”.
Poulter, an Industrial Chemist by training, brings over 20 years of foil packaging experience to the division, and was previously Technical Manager at Mondi, Rochester. His main role will be to meet burgeoning demand for foil products at Baltimore, and to provide a level of technical expertise that will put Baltimore into the top tier of Europe’s foil packaging industry.
Founded in 1996, Baltimore (baltimoreinnovations.co.uk) specialises in desiccants and moisture-proof packaging. Known as the Moisture Masters and named after the city in which industrial desiccants were first synthesized, they now service over 20 countries worldwide. Their products are supplied to the smallest SMEs as well as to some of the world’s largest companies such as; Airbus, GlaxoSmithKline, and BP to name but a few.
Baltimore has its HQ and Worldwide Distribution Centre in Buckinghamshire close to London’s Heathrow Airport. It has already undergone a 25% headcount increase in 2009 and aims to further increase staff numbers in 2010, when another new range of products is launched.
Baltimore is a member of the Pharmaceutical Quality Group and holds several awards including an Interphex Award for innovative product development.
