uTest, the world’s largest software testing marketplace, today launched Version 2.7 of its platform, which includes enhanced mobile matching features and workflow management capabilities. This new version enables uTest to more precisely match customers’ mobile app testing needs with the right members of its global QA community. In addition, support for custom NDAs and a new “customer notes” function were implemented to further boost collaboration among customers.
Mobile Matching
The uTest platform now makes it faster and easier to assemble the right testing team for mobile projects. Now, when a customer creates a mobile testing project, they can specify wireless carriers and handset makers, models, and OS, as well as their chosen country. This enables customers to more precisely select the right kinds of testers for their mobile app needs.
“Mobile testing is not just about finding a diverse group of testers, but about finding the right team of testers that match your testing requirements,” said Doron Reuveni, uTest CEO. “The mobile application space is incredibly dynamic - the number of testing permutations across handset makers, models, carriers, OS and locations is vast. uTest has made it even faster and easier to find the right testers.”
Customer Notes
Customers can now write their own private notes about a bug directly in the uTest platform. This new “customer notes” function is only visible to the customer, which means testing managers can now privately and securely share information within their QA team, track the progress for bug verification, or capture quick feedback on bug follow up. For example, testing managers now have the option to tag bugs with internal notes before they are approved or rejected.
Custom Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
The uTest platform has long supported non-disclosure agreements between testers and customers, but now – in response to requests from enterprise customers – uTest has made its support for custom NDAs more robust. Customers can upload and attach a custom NDA to any project to which testers must read and agree before starting a release. This will make it easier to use custom NDAs within the uTest community.
Additional improvements such as enhanced support for CSV exports were also made in this version.
