NVIDIA® ION™ has won the Windows Magazine Middle East Product of the Year 2009 Editor’s Choice award. ION is NVIDIA’s revolutionary graphics platform which enables an unprecedented visual computing experience on affordable, small form factor PCs. The award was presented at the GITEX trade show in Dubai yesterday evening.
The Windows Middle East awards recognise the best in consumer technology in the Middle East region, recognising outstanding IT products and the most customer-focused firms. Awards are given on technical merit to the best-performing products from group tests and reviews conducted by the Windows Lab over the past 12 months.
Daniel Saison, NVIDIA Sales Director for Middle East, Africa and India, commented, “We are very proud that the ION has received yet another prestigious award, which recognises the technological prowess of the platform. ION is a fantastic enabling technology that takes the brakes off performance in the increasingly popular netbook and nettop categories. Consumers choosing ION devices no longer have to compromise on perfect HD movie playback, a great online video experience and the benefit of mainstream applications which take advantage of the graphics processor – they can have it all!”
Several leading computer manufacturers like HP, Acer, Samsung, HP, ASUS and a host of others have collaborated with NVIDIA and adopted the ION in a range of products including small desktop PCs, thin and light notebooks and all-in-one PCs which all deliver a full PC experience in a small, low-power system.
