Bloxx, the innovators in Web filtering, today announced that the company has maintained its recent strong sales growth by recording a 53% increase in revenues during the past sales quarter to 30 September 2009, compared to the same period in 2008. Demand for the company’s third-generation Web filtering appliance continues to increase, as customers seek to replace their legacy Web filters with a more effective solution to help improve staff productivity, minimise risk, improve network security and reduce costs.
Erik Suppiger, Senior Research Analyst at Signal Hill Capital Group LLC said, “In a market with relatively modest growth that has been impacted by significant cuts to IT budgets, Bloxx is achieving remarkable sales performance with its Web filtering solution.”
“This is a fantastic achievement in the face of a tough economic environment and aggressive pricing by many of our larger competitors,” adds Eamonn Doyle, Chief Executive Officer at Bloxx. “Growth has been excellent across all markets, especially in the UK and USA.“
Bloxx has also seen significant growth in its channel business.
Doyle explains, “We have had a growing number of resellers adding Bloxx to their portfolio or as a replacement for their existing Web filtering offering. It appears that many resellers have become frustrated by limited sales and marketing support from some of the more established vendors and the complexity of dealing with them. Recent news highlighting large Internet content filtering companies reducing their presence or pulling out of the UK has also been a factor. Resellers appreciate our no-nonsense approach to business, our proactive sales and marketing support and the fact that our product is extremely reliable and easy to sell.”
The company also expects to announce several new products in 2010.
