Santa Barbara, CA, United States, 2009/09/14 - Wyatt Technology Corporation, a world leader in instrumentation and software development for macromolecular characterization, opens a new Scandinavian office - Wyatt Technology Scandinavia (WTS).

As part of its European expansion, Wyatt Technology Corporation has formed Wyatt Technology Scandinavia (WTS), to be headquartered in Uppsala, Sweden. Wyatt Technology now has full time staff employed in the UK, Benelux, Germany, France, and Sweden in order to ensure better service and support for its customers in the pharmaceutical, biotech and other industries. With the new Swedish office, Wyatt Technology hopes to drive sales in Scandinavia and increase the levels of local service and support. The Scandinavian office will be spearheaded by Dr. Tomas Sandberg, who has an extensive background in the biotechnology field, as researcher, inventor as well as cofounder of a biotech company.
WTS will handle sales and support of the entire Wyatt product line, which includes: the DAWN HELEOS multi-angle light scattering (MALS) detector, the Optilab rEX refractive index detector, the ViscoStar viscometer; the Eclipse flow-field flow fraction system for separating nanoparticles and macromolecules; the DynaPro NanoStar for batch analysis of proteins, and the DynaPro Plate Reader-a true plate reader capable of automating Dynamic Light Scattering analyses of up to 1536 samples per plate.
Sandberg said the opening of WTS represents a significant commitment from Wyatt Technology in providing the Scandinavian market with Ph.D. level local service and support.
