The community of users of the UK’s largest voucher code website has once again placed Tesco at the number one spot for their favourite supermarket when it comes to shopping for weekly groceries online.

MyVoucherCodes.co.uk has seen demand for Tesco discounts rise since it last reviewed which of the UK’s leading home-delivery supermarkets are most popular with its users.

Demand for Tesco vouchers and discounts has risen by just over 5% from the same time as last year, with 49% of people now saying that they use the retail giant for their online weekly shop.

ASDA remains popular and has also increased demand with 27% of people now saying they use the Walmart giant for their weekly shop.

The biggest loser from this time in 2008 is Sainsbury’s who dropped from having 11% to 9% of people saying they use their brand and leaving the likes of OCADO to pick up further market share.

The survey of 3694 MyVoucherCodes shoppers also revealed that Iceland now has less than 1% of people saying they use their online and home delivery services.

MyVoucherCodes.co.uk aims to list the big saving opportunities from all the major supermarkets on its website and was the first brand to highlight the fact that, at the peak of the recession, shopping for groceries online over took spending on electronic gadgets for the first time in the company’s history as people looked to save money on their everyday purchases.
