The company was previously located on the Naas Road, on the City Centre side of the M50, and had experienced increasing access difficulties owing to the development of the Luas Red Line to Tallaght and mounting congestion on that section of the N7. “We need to be accessible to our customers, suppliers and partners”, explained Chief Executive, Brian O’Donoghue. “This is why we chose Greenogue which is just off the N7 Exit 4 further out of the city and offers easy access to our customers throughout the Greater Dublin Area and beyond.”
“The high tech diagnostic and servicing equipment as well as the volume of spare parts required for the servicing of modern trucks and commercial vehicles require a lot of space specifically designed and laid out for the purpose. That’s why we are moving to Greenogue. This will facilitate considerable enhancements and extensions to our services in the future.”
BOD Vehicle Support Services (bodvss.ie) began the process of looking for new premises in 2008. The process involved extensive consultation with customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders to establish what they required from a location.
This led to the move to a purpose built premises in the Greenogue Business Park in Rathcoole. The Greenogue Estate itself is ideally located just off the N7 Naas Road Exit 4 and it has been specifically designed with the needs of HGVs in mind with all roads being 1.5 times wider than the standard for industrial estates.
The new premises comprise a 29,000 square foot, 17 bay workshop; a 19,000 square foot high rise stores area; a dedicated 3-bay van centre; and a 12,000 square foot office and administrative block including a staff training suite and dedicated customer facilities.
The multi-million euro investment includes a substantial additional investment in new equipment and inventory in order to facilitate further enhancements to BOD Vehicle Support Services quality of service to customers.
Customers requiring service from BOD Vehicle Support Services (Iveco) or its nationwide network of nine authorised dealers and seven service partners will continue to use the same contact numbers: 01 4297600 or 087 2554970 (after hours). For international support - Free Phone from Mobile 00800 827 47368; Free Phone from Landline 1800 409196; Charged call from Landline +39 011 2740866.
The move to the new premises in Greenogue will be complete on the 17th of August 2009. In the meantime the company is continuing to offer service and support from both locations. “We have contacted all of our customers and suppliers individually to inform them of the move but we will not be closing our old premises completely until we are absolutely sure that everyone is aware of our new location”, Brian O’Donoghue pointed out.
