viaLanguage, a leading provider of global translation and localization services, today announces a September 15, 2009 application deadline for their new Translation Grant Program. The annual donation program will award $5000 of in-kind translation services to an organization that shares their philosophy of improving healthcare access for ethnic communities.
“Because we feel strongly about giving back to the community and enabling better access to healthcare for all, we are sponsoring this translation services grant,” said Chanin Ballance, CEO of viaLanguage. “Through this grant, viaLanguage aspires to help an innovative healthcare organization improve the health and access to healthcare of underserved, ethnic communities here in the US.”
To be eligible applicants must be actively working to improve access to health or healthcare for its ethnic and Limited English Speaking (LEP) communities. Eligible organizations must be headquartered in the US and include a program with one or more of the following focus areas: health education, accessing healthcare, disaster & relief services, environment, science & technology, voluntarism & community outreach and youth advocacy & programs. The recipient of the viaLanguage Translation Grant will be selected October 1, 2009.
