A 20-year restaurant and hospitality veteran, Hathaway will offer Satisfaction Services’ evaluation programs in conjunction with restaurant recruiting services for Hathaway Executive Search, based in Knoxville, Tenn.
“The quality and service evaluations provided by Satisfaction Services are a great tie-in with the recruiting work I am already doing for the restaurant industry,” Hathaway said. “This is an opportunity for me to establish long-term relationships that are not as easy to develop in recruiting due to the short-term nature of the assignments.”
Hathaway said that the idea of being in a position to help restaurant operators improve their level of customer service was also appealing.
“When I walk into a restaurant as a guest, I still look at the entire operation through the eyes of a manager,” Hathaway said. “There is so much room for improvement of customer service that joining with Satisfaction Services seems like the best way to make an impact.”
Hathaway started his career in the restaurant industry in Knoxville then spent over five years working with J. Alexander’s in Nashville, Tenn. He retuned to Knoxville to work with a multi-unit restaurant concept and eventually started Hathaway Executive Search, an executive search firm that works exclusively with restaurant-industry executive and management level placements.
