The contract will commence in late August when 17 of the vehicles are to be delivered to Interfloor’s headquarters in Lancashire and the remaining 2 vehicles to the Dumfries site. The trucks will be ready for operation on September 1st following driver training from the regional DAF team.
The DAF 95 XF 6X2 Space Cab was seen as the right model for the order based on its reliability and economical features such as low fuel consumption and reduced tyre wear. In addition, the range’s features such as air conditioning and the DAF Engine Brake (DEB) ensure that the drivers will have a comfortable and safe environment as required by their employer.
Tailored Hire worked with a local contractor to meet Interfloor’s need for timely servicing of the vehicles based in Lancashire over the 3 year contract. This is to include collection and delivery at times to suit Interfloor as well as immediate technical support in the case that unexpected problems arise. Intermodal Resource’s online maintenance management service Assetcare, is soon to be integrated into the agreement.
