Atrion International announces the addition of several new customers that have chosen Atrion over competing offerings, highlighting the increasing global demand for the Company’s Product Compliance Suite (PCS), On-Demand solutions and Regulatory Services including Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). These companies—representing a cross-section of industries including Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Plastics and Resins—have selected to partner with Atrion to efficiently address REACH and GHS regulatory compliance demands without the need for heavy investments in human resources or highly customized systems.
Included in the list of new customers is Klüber Lubrication, Headquartered in Munich, Germany. Klüber develops and manufactures lubricant specialties for almost all branches of industry and markets, from automotive, food and pharma applications, and the maritime sector to wind power stations, base materials and the textile industry.
“With operations that span Europe, South and North America, and Asia-Pacific, staying on top of changing regulations that differ between each of these regions was becoming quite a challenge to our team in terms of capacity,” said Dr. Sylvia Huber, Head of Material Safety within the Material Compliance Management department at Klüber. “For instance, in addition to the new regulations recently introduced in Europe, Asia-Pacific is currently issuing its own regulations and in the future, will no longer accept safety sheets and labeling based on European regulations. This region now requires all companies to comply with their local version of GHS, and a similar request is expected from South America. Atrion’s PCS solution will help us to ensure in-time compliance across all regions, with access to the most comprehensive, up-to-date global regulatory content currently available on the market.”
Dr. Huber further explains that the solution will also enable Klüber to automate more steps in its business processes such as the authoring of its material safety sheets. “This is of particular importance since local GHS variations require regulatory checks and adoptions that would be impossible to do it manually for each of our far more than 1,000 products. Facing the new challenges posed by GHS, the process automation that Atrion’s PCS provides will greatly support us in preserving our accuracy, efficiency, and save us considerable time.”
“The challenges related to adhering to REACh and GHS are having profound impacts on how manufacturers need to look at their supply chains and more specifically, the traceability of the data flowing back and forth,” said Joe Cella, VP of Marketing and Partner Programs at Atrion International. “With such a high degree of information required on the properties of raw materials, products and uses, supply chain communication tools and master data management strategies are critical components required to comply. Atrion's holistic and flexible approach combining technology solutions, managed regulatory content and professional services assist companies in addressing these far reaching challenges."
Atrion’s PCS is a cost-effective and scalable solution comprised of four suites that automate compliance across the entire Product Life Cycle. All are powered by Atrion’s Managed Regulatory Content.
