Thermo Heating Elements, a U.S. manufacturer, announces it’s new Kapton (polyimide) heating elements. These lightweight, flexible elements can reach a continuous operating temperature of 400F. Supplementing Thermo’s already successful line of polymer thick film heating elements, customers now have even more options.
Kapton heating elements offer customers an unparalleled combination of even heating or defined heat gradients and efficiency. Produced through a highly automated process, Kapton heating elements provide low cost unit pricing and reliable deliveries even for large volumes.
Thermo Heating Element’s Kapton heaters offer the end user a clean, highly efficient source of surface heat. Because of the Kapton heating element’s low mass, thermal control is easy and precise with minimal overshoot.
In addition, Thermo’s Kapton heating elements utilize a high temperature bonding system that results in no out-gassing. Some competitive Kapton heating elements use lower temperature bonding systems that are designed for flexible circuits and not high temperature heating elements.
These heating elements offer, energy efficiency, an infinite number of custom shapes and sizes, profiled watt densities, voltage options, low current leakage constructions, and many customizable options for temperature sensors and wiring harness.
Thermo-LLC (thermo-llc.com), in addition to Kapton heating elements, also manufactures silicone rubber heating elements, polymer thick film heating elements and other types of flexible heating elements. Thermo Heating Elements also develops original custom heating elements designed specifically to satisfy a customer’s need.
