CEO & Chairman Jim Walker of Octagon Research Solutions, Inc., a pioneer and leading provider of breakthrough software and services to the life sciences industry, announced today that two of Octagon's team members have been named as Finalists in the 2009 American Business Awards. Kathleen Bouldin, senior manager, Global Marketing, Octagon Research Solutions, Inc. will compete in the Marketer of the Year category, while Mark Muir, senior director, Global Business Development, Octagon Research Solutions, Inc. will compete in the Sales Director of the Year category.
The American Business Awards are the nation's premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit entries to the ABAs - public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. More than 2,600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories. Winners will be announced during the annual gala on Monday, June 22 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.
Kathleen Bouldin, a marketing professional with over 17 years of experience in the field, has excelled in the enhancement of Octagon's marketing strategy. Specifically, Ms. Bouldin's creative and innovative use of multi-media technology has lead to significant growth and success within the marketing, public relations, and event coordinating roles at Octagon.
Mark Muir, Octagon's leading sales professional, is noted for his excellent client relation skills as well as his role as a mentor within his sales team. Mr. Muir's substantial impact on Octagon's sales growth, as well his contributions to enhancing corporate life, distinguishes him as a noteworthy contender in the Sales Director of the Year category.
