510nano has received much interest in its Reflexive™ technology since the release of its performance test on June 5, 2009, including a multi-state exclusive license LOI. CEO Dr. Reginald Parker, says “The cost-benefit that Reflexive™ provides is more than appealing. In comparison to current solar technologies, the costs are lower and the benefits are better.” Dr. Parker reveals that the commercialized product is expected to perform significantly better than the prototype tested at the North Carolina Solar Center.
The Reflexive™ prototype tested by the NC Solar Center used a 66% reflective material. The production model will combine the use of a material that is 40% times more reflective, a proprietary anti-glare coating, an environmental barrier coat, and a novel heat management system. The NC Solar Center reported that the prototype significantly improved the power output of a conventional panel. Chris Hagen, 510nano project engineer, reflects “It is exciting to know that the improvements we have planned are remarkably more efficient than what was tested.”
Reflexive™ is designed to improve the cost per watt per square foot. "It is a simple enough equation, but it took a lot of ingenuity to make it work.” says Dr. Parker. Due to interests in the technology and market case, 510nano will release white papers to provide details on Reflexive™.
