With Expo 2010 Shanghai China one year away, the Shanghai Language Committee will publish revised guidelines for English translations in public places. SmithStreetSolutions is cooperating with a special sub-committee of translation experts to proofread and edit the guidelines. By leveraging its translation expertise and multicultural staff from various professional backgrounds, SmithStreetSolutions will work with the committee to ensure that the new guidelines are accurate and easily understood by English native and non-native speakers.
A long-time partner of the Joint US-China Cooperation on Clean Energy (JUCCCE), SmithStreetSolutions takes its corporate social responsibility seriously. According to CEO Franklin Yao, “we are very glad that we have the opportunity to make contributions to the Shanghai Expo and we will continue to do so in the future.” The guidelines will be published soon.
