PRZOOM - /newswire/ - PC Henderson, County Durham, United Kingdom, 2009/06/09 - PC Henderson Ltd manufacturer of sliding door solutions celebrated its 40th anniversary of production at its Bowburn factory - PCHenderson.com.

Founded in 1921 the company has grown from its humble beginnings producing hay carriers and sliding door gear for the agricultural sector in Barking to become the world leader in door closing solutions.

Production began in Bowburn on 2nd June 1969 to support the busy Romford plant. With the introduction of more modern equipment and to maximise efficiencies, production was consolidated at the Durham site in 1994.

The company now employs 75 people and manufactures a vast range of sliding and folding products for the domestic, commercial and industrial markets.

Managing Director Duncan Moncrieff commented,”We have a fantastic team here at Henderson’s and they have worked hard to make our products world class. Sales have been maintained despite the current economic climate and the company remains very positive for the future, embarking on an ambitious three year product development programme in January 09.

Local MP, Roberta Blackman-Woods visited PC Henderson to mark the occasion.
