C & B Electronics announces the release of its first reader, Scion - I. Scion - I is a UHF RFID Network reader. It promises world class performance at an affordable price. C & B has put an introductory price of INR 49,000 + taxes for the reader kit. The reader kit comprises of UHF Network Reader, Single UHF Antenna, Power cable and accessories and Software SDK. Some of the key features of the readers are - global configuration, performance efficient and robust packaging for external installation. It comes with extensive software SDK that helps in easy management of reader and integration with different application.
The single port reader can be used for Asset Tracking, Attendance Management System and many more applications that require passive UHF. Cost effective price will also allow developers, system integrators to quickly prototype and experiment with the technology. This is first in the series of readers launched by C & B electronics. It intends to launch different variations of the reader in near future with multi port capabilities and multiple integration capabilities with different devices.
