Joining the firm as Of Counsel, Mr. Harris is a well-respected, Martindale-Hubbell AV®-rated trial attorney, with more than 20 years of experience representing large and small businesses, as well as individuals. Mr. Harris’ AV rating is the highest rating for legal ability and ethics given by Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Harris’ practice focuses on representing clients in complex commercial litigation and hospitality industry related matters, as well as corporate and partnership, intellectual property and real estate matters.
Mr. Harris has extensive experience representing clients throughout Texas before both state and federal trial and appellate courts. Mr. Harris has tried numerous jury and non-jury trials and handled appeals before the Texas Supreme Court, Texas appellate courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Mr. Harris has represented clients in a broad range of matters including: commercial litigation, hospitality industry related litigation, non-subscriber personal-injury defense litigation, real property litigation, professional services litigation, employment litigation, construction litigation, life insurance litigation, and litigation in the bankruptcy courts.
Mr. Harris earned his law degree in 1988 from St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he was on the Dean’s list on three occasions, Associate Editor of the St. Mary’s Law Review and a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honorary Legal Fraternity. He received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M in 1985. While at Texas A&M, Mr. Harris was in the Corp of Cadets and a member of the outstanding unit in the Corps of Cadets for three years.
