Datacor, Inc., a major developer and vendor of ERP software solutions for process manufacturers including chemical, pharmaceutical, biotech, and food specialties, has introduced an interface featuring advanced .Net technology for the Chempax and Promax product lines.
Chempax and Promax-ERP work to increase productivity by facilitating rapid information and automating daily processes. The .Net interface expands the benefits of an ERP system with increased power and functionality.
“Multiple related active windows were applauded at our annual convention,” said Datacor President Sean W. O’Donnell. “The ability to work on multiple orders, and service several customer inquiries at a time has increased visibility and improved customer management.”
The interface is intended to streamline the entire business operation and includes customizable data dashboards. Within a dashboard, groups of customers, products, suppliers, and enterprise level information help the software user to organize and understand all of the data within their system.
The dashboards feature faster data access, enhanced queries and reports, and complete integration. Transaction remarks and notes appear with retrieved data, and data can be seen in a grid view, detail view, or by grouped rows. Grids can be exported to Excel, while Outlook integration enables calendars to appear on the data dashboards. Context menus allow users to quickly edit data and drill down to related inquiries, boosting productivity by reducing the number of clicks to navigate the software. The interface also provides customized workspaces by allowing the saving of different views.
“The .Net interface gives flexibility and control to the user, and our customers have found that it greatly increases their efficiency,” said O’Donnell.
Direct transactions from data allow the user to edit orders, invoices, and reports from the data dashboard without juggling separate modules in the software. The .Net interface workshops generated a positive interest from customers, who evaluated the developments as “Great changes, very powerful tools, and excellent features.”
Upon their release, the .Net features are expected to provide a smarter solution for the 6,000 Chempax users throughout the world.
