G2E Asia 2009, the premier gaming exhibition and conference event dedicated to the Asian markets, begins today with its three-day conference and will continue through Thursday, June 4, at the Cotai Strip® CotaiExpo™ at the Venetian Macao.
Highlights and special events for June 3 and 4 include:
Opening Ceremony and G2E Asia Visionary Award Presentation
Event organizers and industry leaders will honor Dr. Stanley Ho, founder of the Sociedade de Turismo e Diversões de Macau S.A. (“STDM”) and managing director of Sociedade de Jogos de Macau S.A (“SJM”), with the 2009 G2E Asia Visionary Award during tomorrow’s Opening Ceremony. Dr. Ho is being honored for his lifetime of achievement as a leader in the Asian gaming industry. He will provide a brief keynote address to attendees. The event will be held on June 3, at 10 am. in the Naples Ballroom at the Venetian Macao.
Trade Show Floor
G2E Asia’s 2009 trade show floor will open tomorrow, June 3, at 10:30 am. featuring 30 percent new exhibitors hailing from more than 20 countries worldwide. A full list of exhibitors at this year’s event is available at our website.
Welcome Reception
G2E Asia attendees are invited to a Welcome Reception tomorrow night from 5:30-7:30 pm. in Ballroom J at the Venetian Macao.
Exclusive City of Dreams Casino Property Tours
The much-anticipated City of Dreams held its grand opening yesterday, so G2E Asia attendees will be among the first members of the public to experience this unique casino resort property first-hand. Representing the next generation of casino resorts in Macau, City of Dreams features a distinctly branded 420,000 square foot casino, three separate world-class hotels, a one-of-a-kind multimedia show housed in The Bubble theater, more than 20 restaurants and bars, and a unique shopping precinct called The Boulevard, which showcases some of the world’s most popular brands. The exclusive property tours, which are complimentary for G2E Asia attendees, will be held Thursday, June 4, from 10:30-11:30 am. and 2:30-3:30 pm.
Challenge & Opportunity Forum
On June 4, G2E Asia 2009 conference attendees will participate in a full-day forum called Challenge & Opportunity: The Economy of Gaming, where they will hear from leading experts about the current state of and future outlook for the Asian gaming markets. The keynote address for this forum, “Asian Analysts: The Future of Gaming in Asia,” will be held Thursday, June 4, at 9 a.m. in the Naples Ballroom at the Venetian Macao.

Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2EAsia.com), formerly Asian Gaming Expo, is the international gaming exhibition and conference dedicated to the Asian gaming market.
