Denver, CO, United States, 2009/04/16 - TiroMedia releases a new version of its TMP N4. The new version includes an optional Wi-Fi interface, enhanced support for standalone mode, web server support, USB capabilities, etc.

TiroMedia is pleased to announce the release of a new version its Network HD Player: The TMP N4.
The new version includes an optional Wi-Fi interface. Customers who are planning on using the player in a wired network can purchase the player witout the wireless adaptor.
In addition to all existing features which include HDMI, 1080p support, Wi-Fi, etc, the following have been added:
• USB Support: The TMP N4 can playback content directly from a USB stick using the port in front of the device. In addition, even if the player is is playing content from the local CF disk and a USB stick is inserted, the player will automatically interrupt playback and switch immediately to content stored on the USB stick. Once the USB stick is removed, the player will switch back to the CF disk. The USB port can also be used to copy content to the local CF disk.
• Web Server Support: The TMP N4, in addition to being compatible with TiroMedia's CMS, can now work with any web server. The player can be setup to point to a specific website which has a play list and all the needed content, and will automatically download and playback from it. The web server can, of course, be running any operating system which includes: Windows, Linux, etc.
• Standalone Mode: The TMP N4 now includes enhanced support for operating the player without a network (standalone). The player can be fully setup using the included remote control. This includes: video mode, ticker position, background colors, auto power on/off, etc. In addition, the player will automatically playback any content stored on its local CF disk or USB drive. An optional play list can also be used which will provide additional functionality.
The new player player features an HDMI interface as well VGA. It supports resolutions up to 1080p. It has an optional built-in wireless (802.11b/g) adator in addition to wired Ethernet. This allows for great flexibility in deployment.
At 6.8" x 4", the TMP N4 is one of the smallest HD digital signage players available on the market. The player uses very little power compared to a a PC. This results in considerable savings in energy costs, especially in environments requiring 24/7 operation.
Like all players available from TiroMedia, the TMP N4 is 100% solid-state and has no moving parts. All content is stored on a local CF card. The new player is fully compatible with TiroMedia's web-based CMS. The CMS is available free of charge with the purchase of a network player.
