NVerzion, a 20-year provider of automation control, monitoring and integrated storage management solutions, today announced Scottsdale City Cable 11 selected NVerzion to provide a new digital automation package in their move from tape playback to a fully digital channel in the recent overhaul of the station’s 11-year-old system.
The new digital solution incorporated an Omneon MediaDeck, a Sierra router and the NCONTROLite automation software package from NVerzion. The software architecture of NCONTROLite is designed to accept specific customer modifications and provides Scottsdale City Cable with the ability to expand support to a virtually limitless number of devices as well as increasing channel control, if need be in the future.
“NVerzion technicians gave us a simple initial connection diagram that allowed us to have the system operational on our bench within hours of its delivery to us,” said Tim Delaney, Station Engineer for Scottsdale City Cable 11. “Our overall on air quality has improved dramatically with our new system. We can now run show and city program promotions again with our new server and we can now effortlessly join shows in progress. The system came in at budget, which is very important these days, and all the features we were shown in the demos worked exactly as we expected.”
